My child doesn't have a diagnosis, can I still come see you?"Absolutely. As part of the intake process we will collaboratively discuss your child's strengths and areas of concern to determine the best explanation and next steps. The most important reason any diagnosis would be given is to inform treatment; if we know the cause of symptoms then we are better equipt to treat them!
-
My child's diagnosis or difficulties are not listed, what should I do?"Give me call! I'd be happy to schedule a brief consultaiton to determine whether PTG is the best place for your family. If we aren't I'll work to provide recommendations that are better suited to meet your needs.
-
Do you see adults?Yes. Although we specialize in children and young adults (through approximately age 25), we also provide specific specialties in treating anxiety disorders and parenting, among other things. I'd be happy to provide a consultation to determine whether we are a good fit and, if not, provide alternative referrals. Additionally, if you are an adult looking for evidence-based services, please contact Therapy Lab to proceed.
-
Do you bill insurance? Not at this time. Although I hope to bill insurance in the future, as of now PTG will operate as an out of network provider. Upon request, you will recieve a billing statement with all necessary information to submit to insurance for reimbursement.
-
What are your fees?My starting fees are $350 for a 60 minute intake and $200 for ongoing 45-minute sessions. I do also offer sliding scale and am willing to be flexible if this is an unmanageable fee for your family.
-
Do you offer sliding scale?Definitely. It's very important to assist with increasing opportunity for obtaining mental health care, and as such I will have sliding scale spots open determined by need. Please reach out for more information.
-
When will you see patients in the office rather than remote? As of right now I will be working solely remote. Although this may become more complicated when school starts, I will work to remain flexible within your schedule, potentially offering evening and/or weekend times. I'm committed to maintaining safety but also adherence to treatment and will therefore respond accordingly.
-
I need a psychological evaluation for school, can you provide that?"While I frequently provide recommendations for school and work closely to assist families through navigating school accommodations, I do not currently complete neuropsychological evaluations. However, often this is not needed to obtain helpful recommendations and treatment plans. Please contact for more information and I will help you decide best next steps.
-
Why is your practice titled Pediatric Treatment Group if you're a sole provider?I've always been committed to working collaboratively with other providers in order to provide the best care to my patients. As such, the hope is to create a cooperative group of clinicians committed to consultation, shared resources and common knowledge. Stay tuned!
